on Thursdays from 9 p.m. to midnight.
About the Event:
Perennial Music & Arts is proud to present our first Open Mic & Musician Workshop hosted at Flagstone: Craft & Cocktails, 105 West State Street, Geneva, IL. This event is no ordinary open mic night, the first hour will be a musician/songwriter workshop where participants will be able to develop their material; receive constructive critique; receive peer feedback; advance their knowledge of music, performance and songwriting; and take their craft to the next level! Your host, Janae will also be available to answer questions about the business of music, managing songwriting and performing royalties, arranging distribution and licensing of your work, and more.
About Janae
Janae, is a multimedia artist, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and experienced music educator. She is an accomplished ASCAP registered publisher, composer, and singer-songwriter with over 1,000 original pieces in her library. Janae has a BA in music education with a minor in piano pedagogy from Judson University and went on to earn her Master of Music in computer music composition from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. She specializes in interactive video, algorithmic composition, electronics, and processed voice. Janae has since founded Perennial Music & Arts in Geneva, IL where she offers beginning to advanced lessons in piano, voice, music theory, composition, and songwriting.
Additional Info:
We will provide an acoustic guitar and an 88-key digital piano with weighted keys.
Musician Workshop goes until 10 p.m.
10 to midnight is Open mic.
